DEVAL comes from the business partners Daan and Evelyn , who opened the restaurant together in December 2018. Together they are DEVAL. You don’t get a menu as you might expect, but an evening full of outstanding food with matching Austrian wines, served in 6 courses. Here you can enjoy fine dining at its best.
DEVAL is more than just a restaurant, it is a cosy place where people come together to enjoy a meal and their company. The unique concept invites you to enjoy an unforgettable evening just like at a friend’s house.
"D" LIKE DAAN
Daan de Val is the creative mind behind the dishes here at DEVAL. His cuisine is characterized by creativity, innovation and passion. He is a master at bringing traditional ingredients into new combinations to create unique flavor experiences.
Daan buys fresh, seasonal and mainly regional ingredients and uses them to create our 6-course menu – optionally also available as a vegetarian menu. We want to inspire our guests to try new ingredients, as well as dishes they might not normally have ordered.
At DEVAL, we attach particular importance to ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality. The focus is on seasonal products from the region inspired by flavours from all over the world. The menu changes regularly in order to continually offer new flavour experiences. Perhaps there are one or two things you wouldn’t order normally – trust us and let us take you on a journey of flavour. You won’t regret it. At DEVAL, every dinner becomes an unforgettable experience where the Head Chef personally announces each course for you and gives you an insight into the background of his creations.

Evelyn has designed the restaurant with an eye for detail and ensures that every guest feels welcome and at home. She highly focusses on excellent service and individual attention.
DEVAL is a place where food is not just about eating, it is an experience for all the senses. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with a touch of understated elegance and sophistication. “Welcoming and making people feel at home” was the top priority when designing the restaurant. The DEVAL team is made up of passionate people who truly love their profession and do their best every day to offer their guests an unforgettable culinary experience.
The intimate restaurant on two levels offers space for 6 tables per floor and is therefore perfect for a romantic evening for two. There is also the option of private dining for groups of up to 12 people exclusively on the second floor in our Private Dining Room.
WHERE DO THE PRODUCTS COME FROM?
The love of the product is our priority. Our meat is purchased whole and all of it is fully processed. Venison is still supplied to us by the hunter himself, whom we know and appreciate in person. We get our fruits and vegetables from small regional farms – should there be shortages or quality waste in winter, we act in the interests of our taste experience and are forced to switch to warmer countries. However, with our seasonal concept, we will always give 100% preference to the variety of regional suppliers. Our entire range of beverages is 100% from Austrian producers all year round.
